Yep, Love is in the air around here! The Love of SCRAPS!! We all have it and it’s almost Valentine’s Day! Forget the chocolate and roses…well not the chocolate…spend some time doing what we all love. Cut up that fabric and then sew it back together! Make something that will give you that warm fuzzy feeling and wrap you up in a special hug any time you want. It will sit there just waiting for you to pick it up and cuddle. No mess, no whining, no demands. Perfect love language. Sounds great, huh? Happy Valentine’s Day my friends! Enjoy your day even if it’s only with a cuddly quilt.
Are you sick of winter yet? I’m ready for some warm weather. But, I’m thankful that I can stay home when the temperature stays in the teens day after day. I’m thankful that I don’t have to go potty outside like my little dog when the wind is howling and the chill is in the minus degrees. When the snow keeps coming day after day I’m thankful for my plow guy. He’s been great and the snow pile is high enough that I can’t see over it when I’m backing out of my driveway. I’m thankful when the sun comes out once in a while to remind me that it is still up there somewhere. And I’m thankful that I can still sit here and give you the next clue for the mystery and my computer is cooperating and the internet is still working. Life it good!
Let’s do it!
Stars and Strips Forever – Clue #2

- Sew one 2 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ assorted strip to one side of the star block. Press to the strip.

- Sew one 2 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ random assorted strip and one 2 1/2″ background square to the adjoining side of the star block. Press to the strip.

- Repeat with 2 1/2″ x 8 1/2 ” random assorted strips and 2 1/2″ background squares as shown. Press and trim to 10 1/2″. Complete all 22.

Love using up those random 2 1/2″ strips! No sense matching other than getting a good mix!
See you next month. I’ll be on a retreat so March 18th it is.
Have fun and Happy Quilting!
