Well, it looks like you made it! The end of this mystery quilt has finally arrived. We did a few new blocks…..a block that I designed….and the delectable mountain block which some of you have never tried. I made a scrappy mountain quilt years ago mixing up all the pieces just like we did here . I’ve always wanted to include it in one of my mysteries and I finally got it done. I always like to mix things up and it’s easy to do using everything from scraps.
Here little bags of French Fries greet your imagination. At least that’s what I saw when I put this together. There they were! I hope you can see them too. Next time you go through the drive through for your burger and fries think of this quilt. It’s one of a kind!
I hope you had fun with this. That is the object, you know. I enjoy looking at your progress with each clue. I know sometimes this scrappy stuff doesn’t turn out quite the way you thought it would. I love the smaller version that I made first but as I told you last month the larger size didn’t turn out quite how I’d hoped. Even though I loved the fabrics and they do play nice with each other, the contrasting “flowers” just don’t pop like I thought they would. I should have swapped them out with something else but I didn’t. So I think maybe I’ll play with the quilting to give them some pizazz. You win some and you lose some. I still love the pattern and design. Maybe some day I’ll make one that measures up but what can you expect from an old lady and a bag of fries! LOL!
Here’s the reveal. Enjoy!
